About.
As an Army brat, Meggin attended 7 schools across the U.S. before earning her B.A. from Auburn University. She managed customer service and operations in two business services companies before dedicating the last 15 years to supporting Nashville schools and childcare centers in non-profit leadership roles where she enjoyed applying technology solutions, training, communication, and organizational development. Meggin will soon complete her master’s degree in Education–Learning Design and Technologies, applying learning theory, research, and innovative technologies to engage learners in a variety of contexts. She is particularly enthusiastic about research and opportunities to improve students’ media and news literacy as well as the support of LGBTQ students in K-12 schools. Meggin is the proud parent of a new college student and a high school junior, and she enjoys Nashville’s thriving restaurant scene and playing tennis.
