Kel’Veon Kelly

My name is Kel’Veon Kelly, and I am a senior at Vanderbilt University, where I major in Elementary Education and Child Studies, with a minor in Multilingual/Multicultural Studies. I am also earning my ESL endorsement to support English Language Learners. I bring years of experience working with students across all grade levels, from elementary to high school to college. My strongest areas are reading and writing, but I have also successfully supported students in math and other subjects. I understand the demands of academic life and test prep firsthand. I took the SAT in high school and enrolled in preparation courses to build my skills. I’m flexible, approachable, and committed to meeting students where they are. My teaching style is rooted in encouragement, empowerment, and student-centered learning. Every student can succeed, not just in school, but in life. I’ve seen students grow into stronger writers, sharper thinkers, and more confident learners. I’ve also seen them develop a more positive outlook on themselves and their futures. That’s why I don’t just focus on academics. I aim to uplift the whole student. I work hard to create a supportive environment that helps learners feel seen, capable, and inspired.
